Little Planet

I am very happy with this picture. It is one of my first images taken with a new macro lens and is of a dandelion with the top half of the seeds gone. It was taken with a Canon 5DIII and my new MP-E 65 + MR-14EX ring light. This is a single image (no stacking) and was handheld. This "super macro" lens is really impressive, but also can be frustrating due to its very shallow depth of field. However, it can be equally rewarding!

Coffee Bean

This is my first successful stacked image with my new super-macro lens. It is of a Starbucks coffee bean. This was formed from 7 images taken with a 5dIII + Canon MP-E 65. Each image was 1sec, f/16, ISO400 then loaded, stacked, and blended in Photoshop CC. The length of the bean was 0.5 inches.
